Wisconsin’s Top Car Shows

Wisconsin is full of the biggest and baddest car shows in the world. With every car show having something to offer, it’s impossible not to find one that’s right for you. Whether you appreciate the intricacies of a classic build, or the earth-shattering speed of modern vehicles, we’ve got you covered in today’s car show breakdown. I’ll be focusing on the best shows in Wisconsin and breaking them down into those seeking a blast from the past and our need for speed advocates out there.

Car Shows for Classic Car Aficionados:

Iola Car Show

The Iola Car Show features just about every classic car you could imagine. With vehicles that date back as far as 1942, you can see the history of automobiles on display. I personally spend as much time as I can hanging around the muscle cars of the seventies section. Mustangs, Corvettes, and my one true love, the Cherry Red 1972 Pontiac Firebird – these cars have built a legacy as the coolest of the cool. You can see them all and so much more at the Iola Car Show. Plus, there’s a great flea market and swap meet where you can find awesome car related souvenirs and talk with experts about all of your favorite classic automobiles.

Autorama

While Autorama isn’t technically a Wisconsin car show, the traveling exhibit stops through Milwaukee at least once per year. When this car show comes to town, you better make your way over to check it out. Dedicated to the history of all things vehicles, this car show is full of automobiles you won’t find anywhere else. From classics to oddities that never made it on the showroom floor, Autorama is a great experience for the entire family. Students should also take advantage of the Student Career Day experience. For only ten dollars, kids hear all about careers in automotive from leading experts in the industry. They’ll even enjoy an advanced screening of the car show before it opens to the general public for the day. If you’re a parent who love automobiles, this is a great way to introduce your children to the to the world of cars.

Car Shows for Speed Fanatics:

Slinger Super Speedway

Known for its quarter mile oval race track and tight thirty-three-degree banked corners, Slinger Super Speedway is one of the baddest tracks in the world. In fact, it currently holds the world record for fastest quarter mile lap. Coming in just under ten seconds! Of course, we’re not only here to talk about the race track, we’re here to talk about the vehicles on display at Slinger’s car show. The national prestige of Slinger Super Speedway brings in the fastest cars from across the country. If you’re hoping to run into NASCAR drivers and their vehicles, this is the place to be. From 410 extreme winged sprint cars to Figure 8 bulldozers, you’ll be surrounded by the fastest automobiles driving today. Classic car enthusiasts won’t find what their looking for here, but those with a need for speed will feel right at home.

WeatherTech International Challenge

Are you looking for fast cars with a retro fit? Then the WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman is built just for you. This exceptionally fun, blast from the past, car show features the best cars right out of the fifties, sixties, and seventies. Cheering on your favorite cars and seeing who wins in epic head-to-head matchups. Plus, when all the racing is over, you can look under the vehicles’ hoods at the showcase lot.

It’s easy to be overwhelmed with the amount of car shows that happening all over Wisconsin each and every week. Hopefully this list gives you a few dates on the calendar that you need to mark off. Whether you love speed or style, these events promise to get your heart racing. At the Slinger Super Speedway and WeatherTech International Challenge you’ll find the fastest cars in the United States.
